There’s nothing new in At First Light, yet you watch it as if it has something outstanding to deliver. Jason Scott, perhaps, realized that simplicity is key and tried to avoid all the overloaded clichés this movie could have fallen into as a trap. Review
Paul Feig masterfully directs it by allowing the two actresses to do the best they can to portray two strange but rich characters in a way you will never stop admiring them. Review
Shot in fascinating black and white, the movie brings its own mood to a level where you as a viewer will be left stunned, if not speechless. Review
That, my dear reader, is the performance we all have been looking forward to. What a start of the year! Review
Some scenes, unfortunately, were so meaningless that if I had a remote I would’ve switched the screen off. Some jokes, unfortunately, were too offensive to laugh at. Review
That said, Phoenix is a slow-burned drama with elements of mystery or even horror. Exceptional direction makes it worthwhile seeing as many times as you want. Review
Surprisingly, it was believable, and in a way, presented the harsh truth of poverty, fight for jobs or even for the house people can lose due to the big construction companies wanting to buy the area due to its monetary value. Review
Freaks is an excellent fast-paced horror movie that, pretty much, focuses on all sorts of paranoia until details starts to emerge. Review
The River misses the aim to become one of the most poignant movies. Of course, trying never hurts, but that is just plain excuse for a movie like this that could have been much better and bigger than it was. Review
As for Melisa McCarthy’s performance, in this movie she finally shows her acting chops, displaying that she can manage any type of role and express all sorts of emotions if required. Review
Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy is a fun movie to watch and at times even deeply moving, which is the main reason why you should not miss it at all. Review
As for the performance, no doubt the entire cast delivered a solid one, and will have your full attention. Review
With full of twists, The Wife is a wicked and sometimes very brutal film to watch… The dialogues are heartbreaking and thoughtful at the same time. Review
Red Joan surprisingly captures the complex persona of Joan Stanley with simplicity and straightforwardness. Review
There are lots of movies about the apocalyptic world, people that turn into zombies, and how humanity slowly disappears. But what is refreshing in this German take is that, firstly, it has a feminine approach. Review
A funny fantasy comedy with wickedly hilarious lines. Review
Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 11/9 is a powerful documentary movie that will make anyone feel disgusted but also make the careful viewer feel ready for action. Review
It’s a deeply moving slow-paced drama that the viewer must be prepared for, as it has its own plans and its own structure to follow, where we as spectators must follow it with great care and patience to be rewarded in the end. Review
Non-Fiction is an outstanding comedy that does not aim to reach every single viewer. It’s too bright and wicked to handle. Review
Maggie Gyllenhaal as Lisa, the kindergarten teacher, is amazing. Review
The Man Who Never Feels Pain is an outstanding action comedy filled with the best fight scenes ever. Review
