I think that’s the major beef I have with Don’t Worry Darling, the ideas being presented just aren’t fully developed. It’s a high concept that’s more surface level as the script fails to explore it in a deeper level. Review

The Woman King has been described by Viola Davis herself as her magnum opus and I don’t think it’s hyperbolic to call her performance a masterpiece. Review

It’s a charming and frothy diversion from the somber reality of the Queen’s passing. It’s not meant to be an emotional depiction like The Queen or even The Crown series, nonetheless, it’s a perfectly enjoyable piece of entertainment inspired by historical events. Review

Despite the leads’ committed performances, the film doesn’t prove to be a satisfying one. Most of the characters appear as one dimensional, even though there are moments where Hall’s Trinitie are palpably conflicted in her role as First Lady. Review

Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron and Richard Ayoade are definitely the trio MVPs, but Awkwafina and Zazie Beetz are pretty good as well. Review

Despite all the sheer spectacle, the movie’s strength lies in the charisma of the two leads who manage to ground even the most outlandish flight of fancy. The film actually works best as a two-hander and the simplest interactions between them in that hotel room generate the most emotional power. Review

Samaritan doesn’t live up to its name as the movie barely offers any redeeming values. Review

It’s easily the most underrated film of the year as there’s such little fanfare about this film. It’s such a shame as it’s such a brilliant and deeply moving film about loss and grief that will linger long after I watched it. Review

The story is one that’s hard to shake and the cinematography is stunningly beautiful, which is appropriate considering the movie is a tribute to an acclaimed photographer. Review

It’s pretty enjoyable and Auli’i Cravalho did such a splendid job as Moana, and Dwayne Johnson is perfectly cast as a demigod. The visuals are absolutely gorgeous and the songs are memorable which are to be expected from the Mouse house, definitely one of the best Disney animated features. Review

Mrs Harris Goes to Paris may seem frivolous the way people think about fashion. But this feel-good movie has some deeper values about a woman being true to herself and that her kindness has the power to change others’ lives. Review

It’s disappointing to see such a daft, unimaginative movie from the Russos who managed to redefine what it means to be a hero in the spectacular espionage thriller The Winter Soldier. Review

Calamy won the Best Actress César Award for her performance here and I hope that’ll lead to more film roles for her in the future. Review

The only high marks I can give the movie is the beautiful cinematography and the gorgeous shooting location in Bath which is where the story is set in. Review

I commend the creators for delivering such a thought-provoking story with a wonderful spectacle that kids and adults can enjoy and mull over. Review

I’m so glad I finally got to see this inspiring historical drama that highlights the untold story of three phenomenal women who made an impact in WWII. Review

It’s a better, more entertaining movie than the last MCU outing Doctor Strange and the Multitude of Madness, but not by much. That is disappointing as I had hoped it would be vastly superior. Review
