Jackson A. Dunn speelt de rol van de angstaanjagende tiener dan ook meer dan uitstekend hoewel het acteerwerk van de cast overwegend goed te noemen is. Maar zoals eerder geschreven moet Brightburn vooral kracht putten uit een aaneenschakeling van scènes vol met buitensporig geweld en een aantal goede schrikmomenten.
