To better answer the age old question how similar Inception and The Matrix are, I've implemented three changes to how similar movies are calculated

A lot of people have suggested I include the actors, directors, and other people involved in making a movie. That seemed like a good idea. Generally speaking, what's more similar than two comedies? Two comedies starring Jim Carrey!

I'm also using the ratings found on Metacritic to get a jump start on learning about new movies and so that the calculation looks at even more people and ratings.

Finally, more weight is given to ratings done around the same time as opposed to says several years apart.

And to answer that question, not 83.4 but 83.8. If you like one, you probably like the other as well.
