De film klinkt even bizar als dat het eindproduct is geworden, maar is alles behalve een prettige kijkervaring. Sono gooit het ene na het andere bizarre balletje op in een moordend tempo en zonder enige vorm van samenhang waardoor Prisoners of the Ghostland een brei aan goede bedoelingen is geworden die je nog lang na de aftiteling zal doen laten stuiteren.
