It’s an interesting story with plenty going on to hold your attention and good performances too. Fans of Tina Fey shall rejoice and her critics will also. It’s a well balanced story and you have to admire Kim and all that she achieved in spite of her surroundings. It’s not perfect but definitely worth a look if you’re fed up with all the superhero films out at the moment. Review

It’s well written and executed scenes like this that attracted such a strong cast and there are absolutely no weak links in the bunch. Review

Considering I am a huge fan of the comic Civil War, I was hugely impressed with the cinematic version. Review

Midnight Special is superbly written, performed, directed; you name it, it did it well. After a series of let downs from big budget films, it’s relieving to see that the indie community can deliver such a high standard on 10% of a blockbuster budget. Review

The Huntsman: Winter’s War is a fabulous film with amazing fight sequences and special effects. The new additions to the cast compliment the returning cast brilliantly with Blunt definitely stealing the show. Review

Eddie’s story is truly inspiring and regardless of the accuracy of the film, is still the heart of the story. Review

It may not be a completely accurate portrayal of Irish history, but it captures the issues and the events following the Rising brilliantly. Review

All things considered, Monged is an enjoyable watch with many positives to take from it. Ireland is a hub for emerging talent and I don’t doubt that many involved in the film will come to the front in years to come. It’s a great insight to a mad weekend and how friendships can develop from nothing but maintains its heart throughout. Review

Bone Tomahawk fails at being a horror western. It could have been an interesting western drama or maybe even a thriller if THAT scene had been done differently. The majority of the film is too slow and boring to be a horror but they do achieve the incentive of traumatising the entire audience. Review

Trumbo is a wonderful film set in a terrible time in Hollywood history. It’s well written and performed, for the most part, and as much as you may feel annoyed at the unjustness of it all, you do enjoy it. Review

Victor Frankenstein is an interesting take on a classic tale. It may have thrown a wobbler in the middle third but overall it’s an enjoyable watch with a performance from Radcliffe that is better than most people might have expected from him. Review

For those of you who know his tale it’ll be a lovely trip down memory lane. For those of us who aren’t familiar with Rory and Panti’s story, it’s a filthy gorgeous insight to the life of the man who likes to dress up as a “giant woman” and their journey to becoming The Queen of Ireland. Review
