McQueen’s direction is often almost inseparable from his practice as a visual artist, and he has an eye for minute details that provide a deep and palpable context for the story to happen within. Review
I found that despite American Utopia’s near universal acclaim, it was actually less creative than I was expecting as both a film and a document of live performance. Byrne has set an incredibly high bar for himself in the realm of visual accompaniment to his music, and whilst this is good, it never quite manages to surpass the great work that he’s been part of before. But if you’re already a fan, then sit back and enjoy. Review
Each member of the cast are fully committed to its logic and mesmerising to watch as a well-oiled ensemble. An odd film, to be sure, but far from merely ‘quirky’, and well worth the time it takes to adjust to its tone. Review

A worthy tribute to Güney's memory, films and activism. Review
Whilst Linklater’s latest is far from bad, there are some itchy little problems that keep it from quite living up to its promise. Review
Demonstrates the need for continual historical reappraisal and highlights the work of an artist who deserves to be better known. Review
The largely no-budget free filmmaking of La Bruce is alluring and provocative, and The Misandrists delivers on its promise of a sexually explicit revolution. Review
