The French Dispatch is an illustration of the creative power of the mind and rich imagination. Wes Anderson outdoes himself with his tenth feature film by creating a masterpiece. Review

Halloween Kills is another worthy installment that will make you wonder how, after such a high toll of people killed, Haddonfield still doesn’t have someone to go against Myers’ knife. Review

Although it has a bunch of flaws and gaps, The Addams Family sustains minor injuries along the way and redeems itself towards the end. However, with proper writing, there wouldn’t have been a need to do that. Review

The performances delivered by two young stars, Deniz Altan as Nazli and Lorin Merhart as Emre, is superb. Review

Because of its beauty, you will find yourself as a witness of a great story unfolding right in front of your eyes, because you no longer feel sitting on a comfortable chair at home or in the cinema, but rather being transported to an era from where you will be needing time to return back to. Because it’s as haunting and marvellous as the story itself. Review

Script co-written with Ida Panahandeh and Tahmineh Bahram, Arsalan Amiri delivers the very definition of paranoia, scepticism and pragmatism. Review

Night Raiders is a solid dystopian post-war film with quality and visual effects that do not go far from big-budget films. Review

It is a slow burning drama with a running time short enough for you not to get bored. I should also note the performance of the Sanz sisters, who I personally will follow if they decide to continue their acting journey. Review

Based on true events, Charlotte follows the titular character, Charlotte Solomon, an enigmatic, extremely talented Jewish painter from Germany. The animated film provides a rich story of her unfortunately short life which will result in more than thousands of paintings she drew, sketching them out of memory. Review

It’s an appalling and heartbreaking story that the director was able to translate onto the silver screen. Review

It’s not an ideal coming of age story you would like to watch. Director Joaquin del Paso cleverly unveils the dark side of a man that’s not born as an adult, but as a teenager, and if left unchecked, God knows what will happen when they grow up. It’s a scary movie to watch. Review

Based on true events, director Evan Jackson Leong recreates a dark underground place in New York’s Chinatown, showing the danger of people like Dai Ma, who looks at illegal immigrants as if they were cargo. Review

Sundown is the most bizarre film I’ve seen this year or any other. The most surreal, strange and unthinkable. Review
