Don’t Worry Darling isn’t the trainwreck the dramatic press tour would have you imagine, but it is a film that starts incredibly strong, and decidedly unwinds with the third act twist that is frankly cheap, cliche and a bit gross. Review
Ticket to Paradise never achieves anything close to paradise; it’s a serviceable piece, made so only because of the presence of Clooney and Roberts, but it does little with material that could have been the building blocks for something great. Review
A throwback to easier movie times, The Perfect Dinner may be simple, but it’s nonetheless effective. Review
Inventive and funny, Bodies Bodies Bodies is a fairly balanced political satire couched in a whodunnit thriller. Review
The myriad of different films jam packed into The Retaliators are gelled together with blood, guts and body parts galore in this revenge horror. Review
The spotlight is on the four legged friends of the most famous DC superheros in this animated adventure. Review
An unhurried pondering through the wit and wonder of thousands of years of human history, told through the romantic remembrances of a long-trapped Djinn. Review
An Iranian road trip comedy that is as funny as it is tense. Review
A bloody, thrilling adventure that delivers exactly what it says on the cover. Review
Crimes of the Future is certainly beautiful, and throws so many incredibly interesting concepts against the wall. It’s a shame it focuses so heavily on those concepts that don’t stick. Review
The sort of movie that sucks you in, and keeps your eyes glued to the screen for its full runtime. Review
A hypnotically engaging sci-fi thriller that is sure to keep you hooked. Review
A sun-soaked coming of age story, grounded in heartbreaking familial guilt. Review
A mile-a-minute thrill ride, full of lackadaisical jokes, explosive action and a series of twists and turns. Review
A manic pixie dream of a movie with a cool premise, ultimately unravelled by a messy ending. Review
Full Time is an emotionally investing and beautifully acted tale that feels relatable, important and engaging. However, its endless anxiety-inducing stress levels could have benefitted from a more cohesive protagonist goal. Review
A gorgeous looking adaptation of the best-selling novel that fans of the books will likely love; even with its shortcomings. Review
A sumptuously beautiful, in-depth and intriguing look at a little known, but critically important piece of history. Review
A charming slice of history, presented with humor, warmth and pathos. Review
Christian Bale brings an energy and enthusiasm to the project that helps to cover up the comfortability, lack of energy and sheer ineptitude of the rest of this been there, done that project. Review
Elvis is a thrill ride, but one anchored by a career-making performance from Austin Butler that sustains you through the twists, turns and gaudy showmanship of Baz Luhrman’s Hounddog scored fever dream. Review
Benediction is both admirably slow, deliberate, inquisitive and introspective, and also frustratingly so. Review
A charming, thrilling story, but Chris Evans is no Tim Allen. Review
Jurassic World: Dominion is the sort of IP draining franchise instalment that sustains itself with fan service, while not only not delivering any sense of the new or creative, but actively subverting the few original ideas in the previous movie to return to familiar paths. Review
