It’s uneven and tonally all over the place but it’s an enjoyable and funny little movie with some interesting surprises along the way. Review
While personal finances aren’t the most enthralling subject matter, the doc is actually quite entertaining with some really wise tips to learn from. Review
It’s a mostly silent film so it’s a bit confusing as to what is going on, but it’s got quietly moving. Review
An exhilarating death-defying feat that’s powerful and inspiring. Review
Only Jason Momoa seems to be having fun and he’s the only watchable thing here. Review
Paul Dano is excellent and the movie is quite hilarious as well as eye-opening. Review
It’s truly a masterclass in worldbuilding, every single detail is meticulously crafted to submerse us in its mythology. Review
It’s certainly one of the most provocative and thought-provoking films of the year, a totally visceral experience that’s hard to shake. Review
At a little over two hours, the film felt a bit long and dragged a bit, but the subject matter was so fascinating that it retained my interest. Review
This documentary was so well-edited, well-paced, and immensely entertaining that I definitely don’t mind watching it again. Review
If you’re looking for an entertaining, dynamic original indie movie with equal action and heart, then you can’t go wrong with Marmalade. Review
The film just isn’t entertaining to me, not even a glint of joy as Coppola drenched it in gloom and melancholy. Review
Gripping, and emotional but with well-timed moments of levity, Vasarhelyi and Chin definitely do Nyad’s incredible story justice! Review
Can’t say I’m clamoring for more of this type of risible spy thriller that’s absurdly expensive to make with not much to show for it. Review
This is the most inept, boring, pointless movie… not sure why people even compliment the visuals as it’s visually garish + ugly! Review
The subject matter is so fascinating that it deserves a much more compelling movie! Review
Mélanie Laurent directs and stars in this French action comedy… the tone is a bit off but manages to still be quite entertaining thanks to exhilarating high-octane action and the fun chemistry of the female cast, notably Adèle Exarchopoulos. Review
Overall I find it more enjoyable than Ferrari and the racing scenes, including the crashes, are well-staged, it uses CGI in an effective way to showcase the video game elements that enhance its storytelling. Review
I was expecting a silly fish-out-of-water (well, a lizard-out-of-its-terrarium in this case) comedy, but LEO turns out to be quite a gem of a movie about unlikely friendships, loyalty, and aging gracefully, plus there are some life lessons delivered in a fun but endearing way. Review
It’s a well-acted two-hander starring Sarsgaard and the always-watchable Jessica Chastain, Memory is a deeply layered and moving drama about past trauma and finding connection when you least expect it. Review
High production quality, beautiful cinematography, and lovely music by Volker Bertelmann all make this a memorable war drama. Review
I just wish there were more of these profound moments to make the film more memorable than it is. Perhaps it’s best to leave it as a stage adaptation. Review
If you like the cast, I recommend you seek this one out, it’s got enough going for it that just might pleasantly surprise you. Review
There is plenty to marvel at in Poor Things, but in the end, it’s Bella’s odyssey of self-discovery that makes the film worth watching, beautifully realized by Stone and the excellent ensemble cast. Review
