Andini keeps the pace deliberate, wallowing in melancholy and a deep sense of longing. The way the narrative often tethers between dreams and reality can be frustrating and beguiling in equal measure. Some might call it plodding but for me, there’s something mesmerizing in about its quiet elegance. Review

I love that the movie features original music by Donnie Emerson himself and the sun-kissed, lush visuals by DP Arnaud Potier are enchanting. The overly melancholic tone and slow pacing drag the film a bit, but it does offer plenty of opportunities to mull over the themes the movie presents. Review

For fans of Nic Cage, this movie is still well worth a watch as Count Dracula even though he’s not the main character. I just wish the movie deserved his and Hoult’s committed performances. Overall I was left wanting more as the filmmakers squander so many opportunities to make Renfield a horror-comedy classic. Review

I certainly count this as one of the most memorable dog movies, one that’s as heartwarming as it is uplifting. Review

It won’t be hyperbolic to say this is one of the best movies of the year so far. I walk away feeling inspired and entertained in equal measure. Review

Ultimately this movie is so formulaic and quintessentially mediocre, and it also makes another irritating faux pas of wasting its talented cast. Review

The Good House is not perfect but I wish Hollywood would make more of this type of dramedies with seasoned actors. Review

It’s slow going at first but I was enamored by the story of an underdog who dreams of life in outer space. Review

This is perhaps one of my fave Sandler roles so far–he balances his self-deprecating sense of humor with genuine emotions to get you to be truly invested in his character’s journey. Review

There are moments that made me laugh out loud, but it’s uneven, unfocused, and at times ridden by cliches. Still, it was amusing enough to warrant a recommendation... Review

It was amusing but tonally off and I was left scratching my head the whole time just why in the world would David Harbour and Anthony Mackie sign up for this. Review

Tetris has become one of the most fun and satisfying movies of the year so far. I enjoyed it immensely from start to finish, it’s definitely something that I don’t mind watching again. Review

Fans of the franchise should have a lot of fun with this latest chapter, bursting with kinetic energy throughout, accompanied by a rollicking score by Tyler Bates and Joel J. Richard. Review

Despite the flaws though, I think Fury of the Gods is pretty decent overall and managed to get a few laughs out of me to make it worth seeing on the big screen. So this sequel may not be as good as the satisfying crowd-pleaser of the original, but certainly is not an abomination the way some critics made it out to be. Review

For fans of the spy genre, I say it’s still worth a watch, but go in with tempered expectations that the series doesn’t quite live up to its full potential, despite the stellar cast and high production values. Review

65 has lots of potential especially when they’ve got a bona fide lead in Adam Driver as the lead, but the lackluster direction and script made this one pretty underwhelming. The plethora of plot holes and head-scratching scenes don’t help either. Review
