The best thing going for this film is its runtime. It’s a paper-thin plot that is stretched to right about its limit. Jasmina Douieb is the centerpiece here and she’s actually FANTASTIC as the fed-up Inès. Review
Once again Adam Sandler shows us that he can hang with the best of them. This is a nuanced and beautiful performance from Sandler. Review
This fun and funny romantic comedy is a great time. Comedies, by their nature, are supposed to make you laugh. This one does that, but it also has a heart to it. Review
Samara Weaving is fine here. Max Greenfield is sort of chewing all the scenery everywhere he’s in this thing. There’s really no reason for this film to be over 2 hours long. It’s inexcusable really. Review
This is a modern spin on what Who Framed Roger Rabbit did back in the ’80s. Melding live action with 2-D animation. Mixing in crime and comedy all the elements are there. Review
This is so damned predictable and cheesy and totally fine. Victoria Justice is charming and worthwhile in her task here. Review
There are some moments in this that are genuinely funny, genuinely heartfelt, and genuine to the characters. Something here isn’t quite as good as it could be. Frankly, I think it’s the script. The performances are fine but the material doesn’t require much. Review
It’s a completely fine romantic film. All of the characters are likable and though you can see what’s coming with this script as if it’s written on cellophane it’s charming enough and well directed enough to satisfy that itch. Review
This is a very by-the-numbers, funny little teen comedy. All of the young leads in this do an excellent job of carrying their weight. Review
Overall this is a very well animated film. From a script point of view it’s fine it’s a typical anime romance type thing that Your Name got right years ago. The music is seriously stunning. Review
Chock full of action the film also has emotion, and friendship at its core. S.S. Rajamouli does a fantastic job of filming this and some of the sequences are absolutely breathtaking. Review
This is a really fun, if flawed Netflix jam. Youthful and fun to get through. Review
Simply an excellent piece of cinema and one that’ll have your adrenal glands working overtime. Review
Come for some fine performances by young actors. Stay for the fun and interesting tale that does some things you probably wouldn’t expect. Review
There’s something to this documentary. It’s excellently done. It’s a true story and that might be the craziest thing of it all. Review
This movie is a complete and utter mess. I like the risk-taking by Marvel. I’ll give them their flowers for letting Raimi KINDA do stuff. I really feel like had they allowed him more script control this could’ve been a top-flight experience. Review
I loved the chemistry between Cole Sprouse and our new romcom queen Lana Condor. Review
Everything here works to an extent. It isn’t perfect and tends to meander and lose its focus. When it is sharp it’s razor so but the problems that persist are forgivable and the film overall in tonally fixed on what it wants to do. Review
Megan as a filmmaker is so good at shining lights on her characters. Whatever those lights show is up completely to the actors and the script. What we get here is two flawed humans absolutely hashing it out for each other’s betterment. Review
A bit of a surprise indeed. Indeed, this is an entertaining film that offers audiences an unexplored section of people. Review
The film is sufficient. I wouldn’t say it breaks any new ground or anything and frankly the films pacing on top of it all is very glacial. Review
Light on story and muddled in execution for me this is a good Bay film because of the risks he took here. Review
This might be better than the first one. It really, truly (and finally) starts to build on the lore of the games. Review
This film is a car that never gets into it’s second gear. Not because it couldn’t but because the director never shifts the car into 2nd. Review
