Sue Ann is a loner who keeps to herself in her quiet Ohio town. One day, she is asked by Maggie, a new teenager in town, to buy some booze for her and her friends, and Sue Ann sees the chance to make some unsuspecting, if younger, friends of her own.

Op papier had Ma best een interessante film kunnen worden. Met Octavia Spencer en Juliette Lewis heeft de film de ervaring in huis voor de camera en met de regisseur van The Help aan het roer lijkt het niet mis te kunnen gaan. Toch doet de film uiteindelijk meer verkeerd doet dan goed. Read more
