Perhaps the worst thing about 65 is the sheer wasted potential. With the Jurassic World saga having come to an end, there was so much opportunity to jump on the dinosaur train and give audiences that slightly darker dino thriller that they’ve been hankering for. Instead, we got lazy writing, lazy designs, and a lazy ending to this review. Review

A couple of honest performances and one interesting sub-plot notwithstanding, Wonder Woman 1984 is an absolute disaster of a sequel which took everything people liked about the first Wonder Woman and ruined it. Review

It has nice animation, plenty of wit, a strong supporting voice cast and a really good jazz-inspired soundtrack to boot. Review

At the end of the day, a bad script is still a bad script, and a few nice visuals do precious little to elevate The Midnight Sky above the exercise in tedium that it ultimately is. Review

The only thing stopping Monstrous from receiving less than a one-star score here is that the ending is absolutely, and completely unintentionally, hilarious. Review

If you can find it in your heart to forgive Deep Blue Sea 3 its junky special effects and look past those gosh-darn-awful computer-generated sharks, you’ll be rewarded with a tight, action-packed and, above all, fun little romp that’ll keep you entertained for the duration of its 100 minute run time... Review

Black Water: Abyss can be seen as a somewhat admirable effort in that it tries to make a crocodile movie that is low key and high concept, all of the ideas that are on show here have been done before, only much better, in films like Crawl, The Descent and, perhaps most tellingly, the original Black Water. Review

When you take a step back from it all, Jurassic Park 3 is a really weird film. Review

While bloody good fun, cartoon violence alone isn’t enough to make a truly memorable piece. Review

When you stand back and critique it, Scorpion’s Revenge has a lot of flaws. Despite them though, it is an enjoyable little romp that scratches the itch for cartoon violence and inventive fight sequences. Review

While younger kids might get a kick out of it based the fact that it has dinosaurs in it and they haven’t seen it a million times already, there are many much better children’s dinosaur features out there that could be watched. Review

Despite these, admittedly somewhat major flaws, Dark Fate is easily the best Terminator sequel since Judgement Day. While it never reaches the dizzying heights of the first two films, it offers a fairly satisfying conclusion to the series and feels like it belongs in the same discussion – best viewed as part of a trilogy. Review

Exciting, tense and, at times, awe-inspiring, Battle at Big Rock is arguably the best Jurassic World movie to date. If JW3 can keep up this level of quality, fans will be in for a treat when it comes stomping around in 2021. Review

Whilst Primal – Tales of Savagery is a wonderfully crafted piece in a great many ways, it worked better in a series format than it does as a feature film. Despite this, it is still an intense and, at times, very beautiful watch. Review

Crawl is the best croco-feature to hit cinemas in many a year! Review

While Brightburn‘s central premise is an interesting one, it lacks the ambition to approach its central question with any sense of nuance or intelligence. Review

While there is quite a lot wrong with The Silence, that is not to say that it is not without some redeeming aspects. There are plenty of tense moments, as well as some inventive ways of avoiding and/or dispatching of those nasty winged antagonists. Review

The Planet Eater, our big finalé fails to build on this potential, resulting in a 90-minute slog where almost nothing happens. Review

Bird Box has plenty of tense moments and harrowing set pieces as our people try to get from A to B completely devoid of humans’ primary sense; sight. Review

Feels a bit less cliché than most as it is trying to tell a story which may have actually happened; a nice blend of adventure and documentary, science and fantasy, that should make an entertaining watch for the whole family. Review

It may also be the best ‘giant caiman eating people’ creature feature yet produced, which probably isn’t saying much either. Review

Has everything you could want from a creature feature; action, suspense, horror, comedy, gore – it’s all there! Review

While the special effects aren’t exactly A-grade, some of the acting leaves quite a bit to be desired and the social commentary is very on the nose, there is still plenty to enjoy in The Jurassic Games if you like watching convicts kick the crap out of each other and get eaten by dinosaurs. Review

A fun action-adventure romp that will scratch your itch if you need one last (non-superhero) blockbuster... Review
