It is a film that I think is really well made and is ‘important’ because it bootstraps a discussion about sexual consent between young people. Do I want to ever watch it again? Probably not! Review

This is a cracking film and for once I fully agree with the Cannes jury. Get to try to see it on the big screen if you can. Review

It’s not one of Fincher’s best in my opinion. Some, I know, find it dull. But, for me, even a Fincher off-day still makes you appreciate the quality of the film-making. Review

Elements of the film are truly absorbing and thought-provoking. However, I found it lacked discipline in terms of a) providing a balanced view of the material presented and b) pulling a lot of the scatter-gun theories together to present a clear set of conclusions. Review

It’s an intriguing concept, well told albeit with a finale that didn’t quite do it for me. But Cage is truly magnificent throughout. Review

As I said, I found this to be most closely related to Booksmart and Polite Society: both favourites of mine. But it’s not as good (imho) as either of those. However, I still found it fresh, energetic and funny for a ribald comedy of this type. Review

A ‘nice’ watch that I don’t think many people will find objectionable in any way. It suffers though in comparison with the superior The Great Escaper in most departments. But it is in no way a bust and is worth a watch, even if you have already see the other film. Review

It was fun. I enjoyed it, particularly some of the excellent comedy sections. But, with my other head on, it feels a bit of a jumbled, over-hurried mess. Review

This is a perfectly pleasant film to watch and will particularly appeal to older viewers looking for a gentle drama told in a linear and predictable way. Review

This is a delightful film that, I’m not ashamed to say, made me well-up at the end. Review

You can surely not be unmoved by this movie. How can it be so enthralling and devasatating to watch a cow going about its business with no ‘dialogue’ per se and no real story? Review

This is a bit of a mixed bag, but on the whole I enjoyed it. In my book, it’s worth watching for the snort-worthy barn scene towards the end of the film. Review

This is definitely not a film for action lovers. But for fans of TV’s “All Creatures Great and Small”, that’s the sort of gentle, bucolic experience you can expect with this. Review

This was a small scale but genuinely entertaining comedy-crime drama that I found to be thoroughly entertaining throughout. Review

This is very much an arthouse film that will very much evoke a “WTF!” from regular cineplex-goers. Review

A short film that highlights (in a non political way) an issue increasingly affecting rural communities across the UK. It’s a short watch but a good watch. Review

With some irritations about the pacing, I enjoyed the start of the movie and the characters on show. But the last two thirds of the movie really went downhill for me and the non-event ending just plain annoyed me. Review

It’s atmospheric; it’s an interesting watch; but it is also extremely confusing. I’d watch it again to try to work it all out, but I’m not sure I have the patience. Review

As you might tell from a film about a biker gang, this is a rough, tough film with a good dose of threat and violence included. It will make you cross about human beings at times. But it is also very enthralling and a recommended watch. Review

I understand it stayed pretty loyal to the book, so that’s not the filmmakers fault. But for me this was a little gem becoming something tarnished. Review

This is a really solid melodrama, based on an interesting premise and with some extraordinary acting performances. Did it set the screen on fire and completely rock my world? Unfortunately, no. But it is worth catching anyway. Review
