Met deze remake/reboot/sequel wilde de maker een bredere boodschap uitdragen en hoe sterk dat ook is leidt het af van het feit dat Candyman ook gewoon een spannende en enge horrorfilm moet zijn. Candyman is onderhoudend en er wordt goed in geacteerd. Daarbij is de vormgeving sterk en vloeit erg genoeg bloed het enige jammere eng wil het niet worden en dat was in het origineel toch echt wel anders. Lees meer
