As is the case with all films, Brawl in Cell Block 99 isn’t perfect. Though, it comes pretty close in our estimation. Review
While the film may have some slight issues, Incognita is praiseworthy in its optimistic outlook on human nature and the uncertainty of the future. Review
Fans of martial arts films may want to give this one a go if they just want to see some fun, climactic action scenes. For those looking for good characters and storytelling, the film falls a bit flat. Review
As long as you’re willing to keep an open mind, though, and appreciate the characters and realistic storytelling, Never Rarely Sometimes Always is one you shouldn’t miss. Review
Altered Carbon: Resleeved is kind of like a tease for what could’ve been. Review
Wicca Book, either as a horror series or a short film, is an entertaining and thrilling experience. Review
Onward is another perfectly fine film from Disney and Pixar. Review
The Platform is just a really well put together piece of dramatic science fiction/horror cinema that was released at the most opportune moment. Review
Even with these negatives, Alex Magaña is still able to keep viewers invested enough because of his talents as a filmmaker and his consistency. Review
Here, Stanley proves that he still has the talent, passion, and ability to get the job done when people are behind him. Review
From start to finish, Just Scream intrigues, upsets, and empowers all in the span of a concise ten minutes. Review
Sure, there’s room for improvement with a tighter ending to the story but M.O.M. (Mothers of Monsters) keeps your attention from start to finish. Review
If you’re just looking for some fun death sequences and a few laughs, it’ll be right up your alley. Review
The Knock is a riveting piece of short horror cinema. Review
The concise writing, sharp visuals, and solid character work are superb throughout. Review
While there’s a lot of praise to be heaped on Autumn de Wilde’s Emma., we still find ourselves coming back to the overall story and purpose. As previously mentioned, it’s fine. Review
While The Fifth of November isn’t quite an enjoyable view given its subject matter, it’s a thought-provoking piece of cinema that’s certainly worthy of discussion. Review
The Invisible Man is a wholly entertaining and competently made interpretation. No, it’s not really the same Invisible Man as many have come to know but the talents of the cast and crew keep its head above water. Review
Enthusiastic Sinners is a shocking film but not in the ways you’d expect. Yes, for some, the graphic sex scenes will be shocking. For others, it’s shocking that such a bold and fearless presentation can also be so heartfelt, poignant, and impassioned. Review
It’s hard to rate Occurrence at Mills Creek as a short film. It certainly accomplishes what it sets out to do by getting viewers hyped for the feature. As a short though, it feels kind of incomplete. Review
Tennessee Gothic is a gem in a sea of mediocre indie and big budget horror flicks. It should remind viewers of a bygone era where horror wasn’t all about jump scares, excessive gore, and bland characters. Review
Even though Sonic the Hedgehog isn’t a bad film, it just seems largely uninspired and much too far past the point. Review
H-24 is intoxicating as the interpretations of Carl’s story are boundless. Review
It’s a lot of fun as an R-rated girl power escapade full of mischief and violence. The characters don’t necessarily honor their humble comic book origins but they do enough to keep fans hooked enough throughout the film. Review
