It just feels like Iannetta and crew may have lost sight on what story they were trying to tell. However, it’s still a nice little piece of cinema for this crew as everything is very capably executed. Review

Mitch McLeod proves his storytelling and filmmaking abilities with Silhouette. If you’re interested in either horror or drama, you should be able to find something you like with the film. Though, as a complete experience, it lacks only because of its mildly schizophrenic tone. Review

When it comes to Gretel & Hansel, it’s worthy of technical praise but there’s nothing that will have you coming back for a second helping. Review

It’s rare for a film to focus on such a touchy subject but also avoid being uncomfortable and Before the Dawn largely succeeds in this regard. It has some minor issues but, ultimately, it’s a thought provoking work from a talented cast and crew. Review

At times, The Gentlemen can be a total slog to get through. This is especially true in the first hour or so. However, there’s just too much classic Guy Ritchie nonsense to enjoy. Once the film starts kicking into high gear, it’s really, really good. Review

That being said, Dawn: Year Seven still delivers a satisfying overall experience. It’s a shame that the original Dawn isn’t available because this prequel short makes you want to know more about these characters and their actions going forward. Review

The Nightmare Gallery isn’t going to turn any heads for the right reasons but it’s a good jumping off point for the next project from those involved. Review

When all’s said and done, Underwater is a solid, yet unspectacular, January film. It’s worlds better than something like The Grudge or last year’s Replicas and probably deserves a little more attention than what it has gotten. Review

From its great unsung hero performances, sweeping camerawork, and its technical mastery in respect to cinematography and music, the film exceeds expectations of a typical war film. Review

For those that fall into the target audience, Italian Turtles is ridiculously entertaining. Review

It’s certainly not scary or even slightly disturbing. Instead, it’s bland, unimaginative, and painfully boring. Review

Bolstered by wonderful cinematography, music, performances, and storytelling, Gerwig shows that nothing is too big for her. Review

There’s a lot of subtly great character work and the story is told well. It can be an uneasy watch at times with some of the sexual acts and mistreatment suffered by characters at the forefront. Review

If you’re going into The Rise of Skywalker with an open mind and looking to be entertained, you may find yourself having a total blast. Review

Dark Waters is a surprisingly tense and captivating legal thriller. There are no action scenes or bombastic events that occur. Instead, the film is gripping in a way similar to a documentary. Review

Since we can’t really get too much into detail over the film’s mystery, all we can really say is that Knives Out is some very solid, if slightly unspectacular, cinematic fun. Review

Aleem Hossain’s The Thin Orange Line is a solidly entertaining film with heart for the writer/director. Review

When all’s said and done, The Irishman shows that Martin Scorsese is still at the top of his game. It also shows that the triumvirate of Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino are still able to wow audiences even today. In terms of criticism, you could point to the gaudy runtime or the de-aging effects on Robert De Niro during the early parts of the film. While it may not cause you to relive your childhood, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood will still kick up some familiar feelings. Review

Art of the Dead is at its best when it’s just having fun. Luckily, that’s mostly what it does. Review

Yet, maybe we need films like Jojo Rabbit and Inglourious Basterds once in a while to ease the pain. There are so many films about the horrors of war but a film like Jojo Rabbit is not only funny but it’s also got a ton of heart. Review

While the story is a bit run-of-the-mill at times, Hossain crafts a stimulating cinematic experience with his character driven mystery at its core. Review

Ford v Ferrari is very well shot, directed, acted, paced, and everything in between. Surprisingly, it’s a beast of a film at two and a half hours but it never feels that long. Review

As controversial as it may be, A Young Man with High Potential is excellent. It’s a film that makes you care about a seemingly vile character in Piet as you sympathize with what he’s going through. Review
