It was engaging, impressively not overdone, and well acted, and is a further verification of this director’s comeback. Review
A film to not just watch but allow to soak into your very being, and to take you over, if you are to get to the very heart of its challenging, dark, disturbing and engrossing ideas. Quietly, poetically, unforgettably, impressive. Crashing seas never felt so alarming. Review
Royal Rumble was a fun show. Uneven perhaps but never bad. Review
Likely not something I shall watch again, but neither is it a viewing I regret. Interesting, effective and flawed. Review
M3GAN is funny, creepy and with a sharp satirical insight and edge, that never lets up all the way up to an all out finish. Review
Not The Descent but a step back in the right direction. Review
An enjoyable night that hinged on its finale. Review
A Raimi-esque, brutal, blackly funny and ferocious takedown of internet personalities and live-streaming attention seekers. Review
Shudder’s V/H/S/99 may be up and down but there is much to like in this instalment. Which is an era-capturing, manic, anthology offering, with plenty of gore, plenty of “you’ve been warned” horror storytelling and, of course, plenty of mayhem. Review
Hellraiser 2022 is a back to basics story, with visual flair that aims to give longtime (and long suffering) fans their long overdue pleasure, while offering such sights to show newbies. Here’s hoping more souls get torn apart sooner rather than later. Review
I went in to Crown Jewel not expecting anything too flashy at all but came out highly entertained and energised. There was not a single match I did not enjoy on the card. Review
Black Adam delivers what it promised you and I hope it succeeds, as I enjoyed the constant action, liked the company of these characters and felt the love that was clearly poured into making it, and on as massive a scale as possible. Review
Extreme Rules is the PLE that has announced that we are all in a bold and exciting new era finally. Review
Sorry folks but this reboot is a barely held together disappointment all round. Utterly dreadful and a mighty missed opportunity. Review
Fall is a film that demands to be seen at the cinema and a strong lesson in how to excellently use and execute a concept, and a film that keeps you engaged from its early moments, to its final ones. Review
For all the praise, this was just an ok show and we are still waiting for this new era to kick in properly. Review
Nobody could have expected a film this entertaining but my word it is. And it is a worthwhile companion to the original. Review
A very well made survival story of a methodical killer shark and a group against the odds fighting for their survival. And you must applaud the effort in fleshing out a story with a thematic edge. Review
Fine, but not a night I’ll be remembering for years to come, like some of the classic SummerSlams many moons ago... Review
Take deep breaths regularly, and strap yourself in for one hell of a ride because it really is, “The creepiest damn thing…”. Review
Thor: Love and Thunder may not be perfect but it is a blast and undeniably a product of its maker, and one I can imagine being quite rewatchable for those of us who take to it. Very enjoyable, very divisive, very Taika Waititi. Review
Not quite on the money but still reasonable bang for buck. Review
Dominion was indeed a long watch but a full one, and I felt that, if this is the end of the series, it went out in an enjoyable fashion, with a cinematorium-rumbling spectacle that, for me, delivered. Review
They may not make ‘em like they used to but Tom Cruise sure does in a blockbuster sequel destined for legendary status. Review
