Dashcam is one of the most divisive horrors in years and the makers know it full well but my god is it an impactful white knuckle thrill, with so much to say that so many seem to have missed. Review

This is a film with a lot to think about but also one that feels a little cold in retrospect, and you feel like you never got to the heart of its dark contemplations. Review

WrestleMania Backlash far overdelivered on the tame build up. Cody/Rollins was phenomenal again, Omos/Lashley, Edge/AJ and Rousey/Flair each were rematches that far exceeded their previous WrestleMania matches, and the main event was well wrestled…if drab. Review

The action is constant and the film has enough eccentricity to stand out from some of the crowd but it should have soared instead of accepted, and really stuck to the strengths of the creative force on hand. Review

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is precisely the film you have paid to see, with its interesting cinematography from Brandon Trost evoking the games’ colourful palette and a rousing and often phenomenal score by Tom Holkenborg accompanying this visual velocity. Review

A collection of ideas, with little in way of a story to bind them or cinema magic to lift them to their full potential. A real pity. Review

It’ll play better with a particular audience for sure, and while I enjoyed Venom (and its superior sequel) far more, there is still enough here to leave you entertained over the agreeable running time. Review

Fresh is a compelling watch, with some sinister surprises, that really ought to twang a nerve or two, as it also unexpectedly and successfully tickles a few funny bones. Review

It may not achieve the giddy heights of other Pixar pictures but Turning Red is still a gorgeously animated reflection on growing up. Review

WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 was a bizarre show. Aside from Becky Lynch and Lita and Lesnar going Beast mode nothing else really stood out at all. Review

I found Uncharted to be a rather enjoyable blockbuster and a pretty darn fun adaptation of the games. Review

This new film in the series proves that Leatherface still has the ability to be a terrifying tour de force and that this series is not dead yet. Review

Overall, WWE Royal Rumble 2022 was a major letdown. You cannot look at it any other way. Starting well, the show just went downhill... Review

The Batman is an auteur-driven superhero masterstroke, with the visible finger prints of real directorial vision and all around passion all over over it. Everyone here, on and offscreen, brings their best and it shows in this breathtaking, artistic and daring work of cinema. Review

Halloween Kills is an intriguing, already under-appreciated film, that takes on a lot, beneath its impressively brutal kill count. Review

Overall, I had a blast with what was the best show WWE have done in Saudi Arabia, and the best show they have done all year, barring only January’s Royal Rumble. Review

Nothing here breaks out quite as fully and ferociously as it ought to but to be honest it doesn’t really have to, as the premise hook is unusual enough to make it worth giving this one a go, and despite the messy nature of some of it, there are a number of ideas at play here that ensure it feels rather unique in its own right. Review

Tom Hardy is, of course, unhinged and utterly brilliant all over again as Eddie/Venom (whose relationship beautifully and comically blossoms), while Harrelson is perfectly casted as Cletus/Carnage. Review

Despite decent regular matches, they were just that. As good as some were, they could have been on any weekly show. Review
