This is a very professional production and one that I would fully expect to join Migration and Inside Out 2 in the Oscars Animated Feature shortlist. Review

Sebastian Stan seems to inhabit Trump at a deeper level such that I ended up really believing I was seeing Trump on the screen. Review

After watching this film I was left with the overwhelming impression that this could be a monster Christmas hit and be one of those ‘traditional’ beloved Yuletide movies that will become a de facto “lovely old Christmas film” for many years in the future. Review

What really makes this movie succeed for me is the crazy amount of chemistry between Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield, thanks to them both being insanely good actors. Review

This is a film that really came out of the screen and surprised me, in a good way. Despite seeing the hard lives of these grafters on the very margins of society, the love they have for their families, however dysfunctional, shines through, giving the film a strange feelgood vibe despite everything. Nightbitch has its moments, particularly in reflecting how looking after young children can exert its own special form of mental torture. But I’m not sure it developed those ideas enough to fully work with me. Review

I’m sure the intentions are well-meaning, but as a target for a message it’s all too broad. He would have been better to focus in on one particular aspect of the issue and give us depth and some real ‘call to actions’ to help us address it. Review

This is a very different film, striking and memorable. It will certainly not be for everyone, as it is very much ‘out there’ in its storytelling. Review

This is a solidly made British film documenting a very significant moment in medical and social history. Review

For although I wasn’t wowed by the film overall, I was wowed by Craig’s performance in it. Review

As you might gather, I enjoyed this one however hard a watch it was in places. Well made and stuffed with interesting anecdotes and memories. Review

Rumours passed the 6-laugh test for me but comedy is very personal so you might sit their stony faced. Review

This is a very well made and thought-provoking slice of Indian life. India is aiming to be a huge global super-power at some point, but this work of fiction, based on fact, ilustrates that they need to sort a lot of basic societal infrastructure out first before they can get there. Review

Like Santosa, this is a really interesting beast. A cross-genre busting effort that works more than it doesn’t work. I only wish the flabby elements had been tightened a bit, particularly in the 3rd act. But I think it’s well worth a watch though. Review

This is an adventurous film that doesn’t pull its sexual punches. I enjoyed it a lot but it outstayed its welcome with me and fell short of being the classic comedy-drama that it had ambition to be. Review

From a film that I was really so-so about on going in, I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this glimpse into Elton John’s career. It’s not just a fascinating tale, but a really well made film as well. Bravo! Review

A Vatican cardinal seems to be the role that Ralph Fiennes was born to play. His casting is simply perfect and his performance is nothing short of brilliant. Review

Whether the dry, and sometimes very dark, humour will appeal to you will determine your enjoyment. I was intrigued and, yes, I was entertained by it. But it is a real oddity. Review
