De film is soms tergend langzaam en de afloop zie je van mijlenver aankomen. Nu is de familiefilm ook geen titel om te verrijken met plotwendingen, maar het is jammer dat The Nutcracker and the Four Realms volledig leunt op het visuele aspect.
