Het was 5 jaar wachten op revanche, maar James Gunn heeft het voor elkaar en heeft een zeer geslaagde Suicide Squad film afgeleverd. Anarchistisch tot en met met veel over de top actie en humor, maar James Gun vergeet niet dat de film ook een hart nodig heeft en dat zijn karakters ook nog wat menselijke trekjes moeten hebben. The Suicide Squad is uiterst vermakelijk en tegelijkertijd de vreemde eend in de bijt als we de DC-films die tot op heden zijn verschenen naast elkaar zetten. Maar daar is het kijkplezier niet minder om.
