The Lion King is dus een knappe remake. Wellicht iets minder imposant als het origineel, maar ook deze keer zat ik soms weer met een brok in mijn keel te kijken.

De volledig met de computer geanimeerde The Lion King is een prachtige remake. De animaties zijn verbluffend en levensecht. Een project dat voor meer dan 100% geslaagd is en stiekem in de buurt komt van het origineel.

Net zoals zijn voorganger is deze The Lion King een perfecte familiefilm voor jong en oud. De oudere generatie zal hun nostalgie naar de eerste film kunnen herbeleven, terwijl de jonge generatie voor het eerst betoverd kan worden door de (inmiddels in CGI afgebeelde) prachtig afgebeelde Pride Lands en hun kleurrijke bewoners.
